Hey Huskies!
Mr. Ruben Amavisca has been a part of the Career Center since Hanford West opened up as it's own high school. Mr. Amavisca is a graduate of Corcoran High School and attended COS, West Hills College, Feather River College, and Fresno State! Go Dogs! Mr. Amavisca is also very involved in the Marching Band world as an instructor, designer, and adjudicator.
Ruben is extremely passionate about his job and tries his best to do what is best for all students at Hanford West.

We are in the final weeks of school, and there is still a lot to accomplish!
Seniors — PASS ALL YOUR CLASSES!
Need help? Come in and request a tutoring session. Ciara, Angel, and Asia are here to help you succeed. Sign up on the Tutoring page to schedule a session. Tutors will be available through the end of the school year.
Representatives from COS and Lemoore College will be on campus one last time during the week of May 26–29. If you need help registering for classes, or if you still need to apply to one of these community colleges, sign up on the Career Center “Event Sign Ups” page to be called in.
Underclassmen (9th–11th grade) interested in taking classes this summer or fall at COS or Lemoore College should also sign up to be called in. For Lemoore College, make sure to use the “Early College Credit” link to meet with Teresa.
Students attending a 4-year university should create their student portals and check their “To-Do List” regularly. Financial Aid and Admissions offices will use these portals to notify you if additional documents are needed.
Final Transcripts & Exit Survey — Seniors
Seniors will be asked to complete a Final Transcript Request form so Mrs. Zubiri, our Registrar, knows where to send final transcripts. You will also be asked to provide contact information for future Hanford West communication, including scholarship opportunities, reunions, volunteer requests, and more.

Going Merry is our Scholarship Program to apply not only to State and National Scholarships, but also to the over 90 Local Scholarships offered through the HJUHSD Local Scholarship Program. I am working on a new flyer, but...the QR Code does work for class of 2026.
